Wimbledon - Day 2

We went back on Sunday to watch Chip race at Wimbledon. His team was racing in Div 3 and the 1st team were in Div 1.



As normal he got very excited at the prospect of flyball racing and made loads of noise.



Chips team won Div 3 and the first team got second place in Div 1. This is a you tube video of Chip racing yesterday.



I am not sure he wanted to he caught in that last race.

And of course being Wimbledon just as we finished it started to rain.

Wimbledon today

We were at the famous Wimbledon today. It was a flyball tournament not the tennis one, but they are both held in Wimbledon and both involve tennis balls!

I raced in a different team today Lightning Flash with different dogs from last week Ruby, Merlot and Patsy. But I know them from training so we get on well.

We raced really well and my team got second place in our Division. This is me afterwards with my rosette.

Clean up

After all the excitement of the weekend its been back to domestic duties this week.

The weekend

We have just got some pictures from the flyball tournament last weekend. It was the first real open racing I have ever competed in.

No pictures of last weekends flyball tournament yet but we received some pictures today that were kindly taken at the second starters competition I raced at in April.



I think I was holding on to the tennis ball very tightly.

Flyball Today

Well it was really good at my first ever flyball tournament.

We camped both Friday and Saturday night in a tent and then today I had my first ever race.

This is a video of me with my team, I am the third dog racing.



We came second in our division so I also got a rosette. Everyone seemed really pleased.

Hopefully will also have some pictures soon of me at the tournament.

Tomorrow

Its a big day tomorrow, my first ever real flyball tournament, as I am now old enough to compete.

Jungle

Whats that Chip is sneaking up on deep in the English Jungle...



Its a fierce new breed of Border Collie called a Dare.



Watch him roar at you from his hideout ...



This is a bit of poetic licence on my part as Dare was actually eating the grass, not very frightening of him :-)

Funny old weather

Well it certainly rained this weekend. It chucked down on Sunday at flyball training and it has been rain showers on and off all over the weekend. Its also been cold and windy as well.

But from these pictures of me out with Chip today you will not believe that the weather has been bad! Its been windy and some sunshine as well between the rain showers.



Mind you without the rain the grass would not be so green!
