When Auntie Breeze wants you to play with a tennis ball she doesn't just bark like other dogs might do she tends to give a bit hint by staring at the ball.
Obviously being a Border Collie this come very naturally as BC's are apparently bred to do this to sheep. Not something us English Shepherd's do however.
But if this doesn't work she then starts to use the Auntie Breeze look.
She can keep this up for ages.
And even does it from different parts of the garden as the boss moves about...
It tends to work in the end !

Pallo's method is to THROW the ball at me to get me to play with him. He'll just keep chucking it at me over and over.
Hi there, I love this; didn't know that about BC's but have seen it in other dogs. I also have had dogs that drop the ball again and again at your feet, in your lap, in your hand etc. I think any method works when it comes to playing catch. Have a fun ball catching weekend.

Lil is just like that with a stick or a ball!!!
Border collies can have such a sad, neglected look.
Ah yes! "THE LOOK." I am often on the the recieving end of THE LOOK. It's pretty uncomfortable...
Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!
Stumpy and me
That is funny. Phantom does that when he wants Mom to get him a piece of duck jerky - his favorite treat.
Hope you all have fun this weekend.

Heehee who could resist that stare-out.
I have a 4 legged friend who does the same thing!
I like her stare!
Let's PLAY!!! I got the message loud and clear, Auntie Breeze!
Luv,
Dave
Ha! I think Lola must be related to Breeze - she does the same thing :)
