The path has disappeared because the river has burst its bank from all the rain we have been having lately. Just to give you an idea of the amount of water flowing down the river this is what it looks like in the other direction down stream.
So it was back up to the road for us for a a less damp walk home.

You have had so much rain that the flooding is not surprising. Too bad it interfered with your hike. We could use a bit of rain here. We had storms overnight but not enough rain for how dry it is.

A swimming area! We are in need of some rain..so we envy you! :)
Wouldn't it have been nice to get the rain in smaller quantities and at the time when a drought was declared. It's all or nothing with our weather.
