Its a Bank Holiday weekend so the boss is off from Work on Monday. Paws crossed we will go somewhere nice. Its forecast to rain on Saturday & Sunday, hope its not to heavy.
Had a run around the nearest little park tonight with Auntie Breeze. Obviously I hogged the tennis ball.
We had a really good flyball training session today so I feel quite tired from all the running about and trying to concentrate on exactly what I should be doing.
Now that we are back home I can't find a quiet spot to have a good nap.
In England the most popular sport is apparently not flyball which is a bit of a surprise to me. Now the boss said there is a clue in the garden to what that sport is.
I asked Dare what it was but he did not seem interested.
So I wonder what in the garden it could be.
This is quite dificult so I will have to concentrate and think very hard.
Oh hang on.
Its football it was staring me in the face all the time.
But I wonder how they hold the football in their mouth to play?
What a lovely sunny weekend. After the massive amount of rain over the bank holiday weekend it was a big change.
We all went to another flyball tournament and I had a suprise. As I am not old enough yet to do real flyball I was expecting to just watch the others. But one of the other clubs, Kennett Flyball Club needed another dog in one of their starters teams so I got a go at racing as well.
This is a picture of me going over the jumps.
And this is a video of me with some of the rest of the team.
My team was called KFC fully loaded...
After the racing I had a nice rest and a long cool drink. This is me and Chip in the car.
What is it with that pink blanket on Chips side...
Its continued to be a lovely sunny warm spring week. Making up for all that wet weather over the Easter Bank holiday weekend. Hope it keeps being nice for a while longer yet.
It was Auntie Breezes birthday at the weekend. It must be a thing when you get older not to tell anyone how old you are. She is really, really old. Auntie Breeze was 4 years old last Saturday...
Auntie Breeze and Dare went back to the flyball tournament to do real flyball racing on Saturday. Unfortunately it had carried on raining and there was much more mud than the day I went.
This is Auntie Breeze looking in horror at the condition of the grass (she hates any dirt or rain)
It was even worse outside the racing rings and Auntie Breeze and Dare had to walk through this from the car!
They both managed to race however and they came 4th in their division. The 1st team also ran the same day and they came first in the 1st Division! This a video of Auntie Breeze and Dare both racing.
I don't think they both minded the mud but they did mind the bath when they got home!
Well I finally had my first real go at flyball today against other teams thanks to the Midshires flyball team who let me race with them.
It was starters flyball which is for dogs learning how to do it. This is a video of me having a go. The first two clips are me warming up and the last bit is me actually racing with the rest of the team.
It was really wet and rained very hard all morning but I didn't mind.
English Shepherds are descended from the dogs settlers took with them to North America to work on their farms from England and lowland Scotland. They were bred to be all round farm and family dogs rather than having just one job to do.
They have been recognized as a distinct breed by the UKC in the USA, since the 1930's.
Wizz is one of the dogs from the first litter to be born in England, she was born on the 3rd of November 2008. Wizz's parents Adam & Eve have been brought to the UK from the US by Jackie to reintroduce the breed to this country.
Check out the 1st web link below to find out more and why.
