More rain

Its been raining every day so far this week so no outside photos.

This is a nice action shot of me that was taken at flyball training on Sunday. Hopefully I am having a go at racing this week. We are going to a starters competition on Friday. This will be the first time I have ever raced.

Keep your fingers crossed the rain stops by then!

Chip @ flyball training

We all went to flyball training again today.

This is a video of Chip getting the tennis ball of the box. He does really nice swimmers turns which is the quickest way to turn on the box to go back over the jumps.

Chip also had a good bark at everything and everyone... as normal. (Not sure about the pink Wellingtons)

And then he came home happy and all tired out to have a nap and dream about.... barking

Birds

My main job in the back garden is to be on the look out for dangerous birds.

Its a hard demanding job that needs constant attention.

You can never be sure where they are going to sneak up from next. So good concentration is very important.

Then being ready to chase them off at a moments notice when they arrive.

Job done, for now...

More from yesterday

This is another video from Sundays flyball training, me running against another dog (she is called Monkey and she is very fast!).

This is to get me used to having dogs racing against me in the other lane. If you look carefully you can see me have a quick glance on the way back.

Wasn't it lovely and Sunny.

Back at flyball training

I went to flyball training today its first time back since my little paw accident.

It was a nice sunny day today which was a very fast change from yesterdays rain.

Below is a video of me running as part of a team in training today, I am the second dog to run.

I managed to crossover with two dogs in the race. One that I run at when I run down and one running at me when I run back.

That's clever of me apparently. Chips the fast last dog!

I am out again

Had a good run about in the park today. I was able to have a dash about at full speed as the Park is really big. It was raining on and off but I didn't care.

This is me doing an impression of Chip's ears...

Auntie Breeze was with me and we had a good chase about, well I chased her and she ignored me!

Puppy update

Another update on the new English, English Shepherd puppies. This is Betty, looks like they are growing fast.

(Apologies again to Jackie as the boss pinched this picture from her. The puppies are not home with us but with my mum Eve and Auntie Jackie. ...)

Good news

I went to the vets and had my stitches out tonight. The good news is that it has healed nicely and I can go out for running about in the park in a couple of days. Also its back to normal for flyball training at the weekend.

So Auntie Breeze, Dare and Chip got to enjoy another run in the woods without me. If you look very closely you can see the three of them in the distance in this picture.

They are much closer in this one (Chips going so fast his ears are like air breaks)

Then its into the wood (all those leaves again).

And a bit of log jumping to finish off.

Flyball Box

Couldn't go to flyball training this week because of my cut paw, hopefully back to normal next week.

The boss took these pictures today at training of Chip getting the ball from the spring loaded box. When Chip triggers the box with his paws the tennis ball springs out.

Looking down at the flyball box Pre-Chip.(Chip has special small tennis balls)

This is Chip catching the ball.

And this is another one of Chip getting the tennis ball, do you think his hair is a bit long!

Wood

I am still on the mend with my cut paw and will have (hopefully) my last visit to the vets on Monday.

Lots of pictures of me on a lead are not very interesting so here is Dare in the woods (well in a thicket).

Dares nick name is Dare Bear.

he does like a good walk.

and a good Border Collie stare.

I think it looks more like Autumn in these pictures than spring with all the leaves on the ground !

Latest puppy pictures

Another update on the new English, English Shepherd puppies.

Another week older.

Apparently they are quite noisy now.

(Apologies again to Jackie as the boss pinched these picture from her. The puppies are not home with us but with my mum Eve and Auntie Jackie. ...)

Sleeping easy

Its not aways easy to get comfortable for a nap.

Sometimes its hard to find the best position

But this will do nicely.

Tuesday 9 March 2010

Out walking again

I went to the vets last night for a check up and she said that my paw was healing nicely. So I can go out for walks again but only on a lead until the stitches are out.

I tried to have a zoom down the path to make up for being stuck inside.

But these gentle leader type leads do stop you pulling. They even stop Dare !

The green monster

Have you ever seen the film or the TV series the Hulk? Where he changes from the mild mannered scientist into the green monster ?

Well little Chip does cute...

Is that a tennis ball in your hand ?

Its mine...

I will take it...

Almost got it...

Oh hang on...

Opps missed

Can I have it, please ?

Sunny day

As I am stuck inside with my cone on today, it was nice and sunny. Which makes a change after all the rain we have had recently. If you are not stuck inside of course ...

Auntie Breeze, Dare and Chip all went for a nice walk in the park as it was so sunny.

It looks like they all had a nice time

I think Auntie Breeze and Dare were having a go at herding Chip about.

And Chip was just having a good bark.

Vet

I unexpectedly stayed at the vets last night. I had a little accident whilst out in the park yesterday. It only looked like a little cut with hardly any blood but the fur and skin on my front paw was flapping about!

The vet put some stitches in it and then I stayed in overnight so they could keep an eye on me because of the anaesthetic. I came home again this morning. I am not allowed out for walks until next week sometime.

Can someone explain why they have put this cone on my head?

I keep banging into the furniture with it so its seems really stupid.

New Puppy tuggy

This is an early go for one of the new English Shepherd puppies at the tuggy game...

Bless!

Just in case you wondered the puppies are not home with us but with my mum Eve and Auntie Jackie.

(Apologies to Jackie as the boss pinched this picture from her...)
