Exciting Weekend

We had another great weekend at the flyball tournament in Maidstone. Loads of videos to come but this one is a very good idea of how excited I get when competing.

And also how fast Flyball is close up.

Warning earplugs may be required ...

Chip's little class

I was at my Obedience Club tonight having my weekly lesson. Chip is doing his Kennel Club Silver award training in the class before mine at the moment.

Check Spelling

Then I suddenly thought, do you have to be a little dog to be in the same training class as Chip?

Congratulations Dare & Chip

The points have just been posted for the Maidstone Flyball Tournament. Dare and Chip have both been awarded their next British Flyball Association flyball titles/awards.

Dare has just been awarded his Flyball Dog Advanced title. Its his fourth flyball title so far. In his case its quite an achievement as Dare is totally deaf in one ear so he has no idea where noises come from which is quite confusing for him. Well done on gaining your latest award Dare.

Chip has also been awarded his next title, Ice Blue Moon. Its his seventh Flyball Award and quite a high up one.

If you have been following this blog for a while you will know that little Chip is super fast for a little dog and he was also the No1 Patterdale Terrier in the British Flyball Association last year in 2011.

This is a video of him racing in January this year (Chip is the last small dog)

Very well done Chip on gaining this latest impressive Flyball Award.

Park again

The thaw and no flyball training today allowed us all to go off to the big Park for a nice run about after our tennis balls.

Chip was out with me, Dare and Auntie Breeze had gone out for a run together earlier. We generally go out in pairs not all together in this Park. just in case there are any other dogs about.

As you can see in this video I am very good at letting go of the tennis ball when I bring it back unless Chip is trying to pinch it off me...

You can also see when he runs why Chip is so very quick at flyball for such a little dog!

Enjoying the snow

We had another burst of snow fall on Thursday night and a nice play it in the back garden on Friday but its all nearly gone again now. But I am not sure I would fancy the chances of of anyone riding that bicycle at the moment however.

Chip and Dare have found a different way of enjoying the snow.

Dare seems to really enjoy it!

Happy Birthday Mr Dickens

If you Google'd or checked the news it probably hasn't escaped your notice that today is Charles Dickens 200th birthday.

He was Born Charles John Huffam Dickens on the 7th February 1812 at a house in Mile End Terrace, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.

A very popular English writer whose books have apparently never gone out of print and there always seems to be a new film or TV series based on his books. If you want to check him out this is his bicentenary website

A very Happy 200th Birthday to you today Mr Dickens.

Playing in the Snow

Well last nights snow lasted long enough today for us to have a good play in it.

Its actually quite a bit harder to run about in it and the snow makes the ball a lot colder.

Auntie Breeze came out with me for a walk.

Interesting how everything smells different in the snow and the air is very fresh.

Dare and Chip also went out in the snow for a zoom about.

But as you will see in this (very!) short video clip it was mainly Chip not Dare doing the snow zooming...
