Happy Birthday Mr Dickens

If you Google'd or checked the news it probably hasn't escaped your notice that today is Charles Dickens 200th birthday.

He was Born Charles John Huffam Dickens on the 7th February 1812 at a house in Mile End Terrace, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.

A very popular English writer whose books have apparently never gone out of print and there always seems to be a new film or TV series based on his books. If you want to check him out this is his bicentenary website

A very Happy 200th Birthday to you today Mr Dickens.

The Google thing did escape me LOL! Anyway I guess that means that your post was of use to at least one person! I do like Charles Dickens work, or at least I do in the form of a TV show, I don't think I ever read one of his books unless it was when I was at school but that was soooo... long ago now I can't recall.

I've got a whole collection of his books in a matching set!
And my blog's name A Tail of Two Cardis is a direct play on the title of his book A Tale of Two Cities :-)

Huh! It actually DID escape me. Got to admit, I haven't read anything of his since high school! But, in any event, happy 200th, Mr. Dickens.
