Santa's day off

When you go down the local Park you don't expect to see one off these wandering around the car park.

Perhaps Father Christmas was out walking his dogs as he now has a bit of time on his hands.

To be fair Busy Park where we went today do have a herd of Deer living in it but these were unusually close.

When we got away from them fortunately the boss did let us have a bit of a run about.

Its a big Park so you can see if anyone or any deer, are coming close.

And its a great place for a good run around.

A bit damp

Its been raining a lot round hear recently so its been flooding which isn't nice if it affects your house. Living in London we don't seem to be affected by weather extremes as much as other places. But we still get to enjoy it when it gets wet.

Meet Motorboat Wizz...

Its great fun zooming through the temporary 'lakes' in our Park.

This photo taken today also reminded the boss of the Film 'The Birds' by Alfred Hitchcock  with so many of our feathered friends sheltering there.

And me trying to catch them.

There is a bit of a Teddy Bear theme present wise  in our house this Christmas.
But I think I might recognise someone else in this group picture...

Hope you are having a great Christmas day wherever you are.

Chocoholic

Chip today sneakily stoles some Christmas chocolates and then ate the lot.  Fortunatly it only gave him a bad tummy rather than anything worse.

Terriers never learn...

Collar Comfort

I think I am starting to get the hang of this collar now and as you can see it does have some uses after all !

I have had an operation...

Having a busy December in the run up to Christmas. Just had a little operation last Wednesday to stop me being 'unusually attractive' a couple of times a year. The operation went really well but have to wear this silly collar.  I am due to race again at Flyball on the 5th of January and apparently I will be fighting fit by then again.

Everyone thinks I look like I am going swimming in it. Its a kinder  version of the cone type collar and I don't bash into the furniture wearing it!

Me and Auntie Breeze were waiting to have or dinner when these photos were taken and as you can see from this one the operation hasn't affected my sense of smell.

Do you think Auntie Breeze has got the hump waiting for her dinner...

Christmas at Chatsworth House

The boss was up in the Midlands for a family Birthday party at the weekend. So they all took the opportunity to go to Chatsworth House to see the Christmas decorations and buy a few gifts. If you haven't been to visit the house it has been used in a few films so you might recognise it.

Its probably  best known film/book wise as the supposed setting for Jane Austins 'Pemberley'  in Pride and Prejudice. It was used as the backdrop for that house in the 2005 film version with Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Bennet. But they do decorate the house up at Christmas and its quite spectacular

They did a Christmas Pantomime theme in the house with lots of famous story's which were quite well done. This is Jack and the bean stalk

and this is not me!

It was quite an unusual setting to see all the decorations and people do come a long way to see them apparently. This is the snow queen in the music room.

The boss says he would like to go back and see the house without all the Christmas decorations as it looked so impressive.

Of course there was one or two bits you could buy. These are just a few bits of Christmas food you could purchase...

But the boss thought the most impressive thing they saw on the visit wasn’t the Christmas decorations but this statue called the veiled lady. How was that carved  in marble!

Raffaele Monti made it  way back in 1864.

Of course as this is a dog blog we do have to have a photo of one who was also visiting at the same time as the boss.

Looks like it is related to Auntie Breeze.
